Industry in Transition
As the mining industry continues it’s transition, with an aging workforce and financial challenges there is good news on the horizon.
In an article by Financial Mail (FM South Africa), technology is quite likely going to be a major star of the transition. Technology, the author posits, “does not destroy jobs, it creates better jobs and takes people out of harm’s way. It also helps with utilisation of assets, whether it is an employee’s time or being able to use more junior staff in certain jobs to free more qualified people.” Read more…
